Adonai Care Centre & Feeding Scheme – based in the Talberic Shopping Centre, they provide a safe place for children to go to after school. The Hollard Foundation donates groceries so that every child gets a cooked lunch and then, with the help of volunteers they do homework and other learning activities. They also run a Victim Empowerment Centre, the purpose of which is: To make the trauma of crime less painful. To help the victim of crime feel relaxed, in more homely surrounds, whilst taking their statement. To assist our local Police in offering support following a trauma of any kind. Emthonjeni AIDS Centre - Providing health care to hundreds of patients in the squatter area Sweetwaters. The centre feeds 30 patients from Monday to Friday at the centre. They also provide monthly food parcels to 80 ‘home-care’ patients many of whom are bedridden. There is an HIV testing and counselling service as well as a support group for people living with HIV/AIDS.
