Support our local charities – no donation is too small, clothing, household items, kitchen accessories, bedding, old furniture, children's toys and books, food, money and your precious time as a volunteer (if only for a few hours a week) are all very welcome.



Abbeyfields Society
– provides homes for the elderly. Abbeyfields in Walkerville particularly need the assistance of volunteers who can provide transport once a week to the local shops, hairdresser and such like. Contact Penny Whyte 083 487 4446.  003-393NPO

Adonai Care Centre & Feeding Scheme
– based in the Talberic Shopping Centre, they provide a safe place for children to go to after school.  The Hollard Foundation donates groceries so that every child gets a cooked lunch and then, with the help of volunteers they do homework and other learning activities. Community Police De Deur Sector 2 - Over 200 Volunteers From Walkerville, Walkers Fruit Farms Apple Orchards Aloe Ridge De Deur and Dolphin Circle work together with the Community and SAPS to reduce crime in our area.  They also run a Victim Empowerment Centre, the purpose of which is: To make the trauma of crime less painful. To help the victim of crime feel relaxed, in more homely surrounds, whilst taking their statement. To assist our local Police in offering support following a trauma of any kind.
